Kipon are releasing an E-Z adaptor which should work with the Nikon Z, and could be double-adapted with the Voigtlaender M-E adaptor. Because all lens manufacturers are producing interfaced E-mount lenses. Sigma, Zeiss, Samyang, Yongnuo, Cosina, Tamron, Tokina, etc. I don't care if some fly-by-night totally-unknown lens manufacturer doesn't get approval. The important thing is that real lens manufacturers are being able to do it-- being able to make lenses for the mount-- which is the case with E-mount.
That's what people care about! Ask EF-M users how much they are enjoying the tremendous third-party support! (There is none.) Then ask how E-mount users are enjoying the tremendous third-party support. (There's plenty of support.) At the end of the day, THAT is what matters. @zkz5 - I never said 'anyone' can. I was asking which valid 3rd party lens manufacturers have been denied it.
As far as I can tell, there is considerable support for E-mount from 3rd parties, thanks to Sony's policies regarding their mount. Contrast that with the Fuji X-mount and Canon EF-M mount, where those companies are extremely restrictive of who they let produce lenses for their mounts.
The result is little to no 3rd party lens support. THAT is what people care about. People don't care about winning pointless semantic arguments.
People want actual lenses that they can actually buy. @zkz5 - I care that Sony made this announcement regarding their E-mount back in 2011.and ever since then, all these 3rd party lens manufacturers have been producing E-mount lenses for the system. That's what matters. I don't see any 'abuse.' Also, the 'exact opposite' would be an entirely closed system in which Sony didn't share anything about their mount, as well as even taking actions to prevent 3rd parties from offering lenses for the system-- which is what YOU seem to think they are doing! You don't seem to care what YOUR words mean, which is why you are saying that Sony is doing 'the exact opposite' of openness! You can get all obsessive about the semantics all you want.
