On contacting Support I was told that this had been ‘fixed’ and to get the fix I had to upgrade and pay for v7. Not providing a free fix for a feature that previously worked is very poor - even Microsoft do this. It’s not good marketing emclient. Just started with (free) eM Client.
Problems with GMAIL-account. Google blocks eM Client as a 'not safe enough' application. Google sent an (automatic) email about this and showed me how to accept (in general) 'not safe enough' applications with Googles remark: 'not recommended' Still doesn't feel good though.

Pity, this is quite NOT good for your business. New users will stop here and look for some other software. Hi Rob, eM Client uses oAuth for Google accounts login, which does not need to have access for less secure apps allowed, because through oAuth the program never gets access to your password. If you follow the steps described on our website you should not encounter any trouble with the setup - Also, anything that is not webmail is less secure in server's perspective, but we support Google's most secure login method for external programs, since security is very important to us.
